NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING – SEPTEMBER 18^th, 2017

 

 

September 5, 2017

 

Dear Homeowner:

 

The 2017 Annual Meeting of the Huntington Commons Homeowners Association will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 7:00 pm at:

 

Martha Washington Library (room 104A)

6614 Fort Hunt Rd,

Alexandria, VA 22307

 

The purpose of the annual meeting is to elect new members to the Huntington Commons Board of Directors. It is critical to have a Board of Directors in order to make decisions on behalf of the homeowners association and in order to operate legally as homeowners association.

 

 

Enclosed within the documents mailed to your home, you will find:

 

1. General Proxy form, for quorum and voting purposes for the annual meeting. Please mail or fax (703-924-6737) the completed form to Andrea Talavera at Jeffrey Charles & Associates, Inc. to meet quorum and avoid the expense of additional meetings by no later than September 18, 2017 (if you do not plan to attend the meeting but do want to count toward a quorum and do want a designated proxy holder to vote on your behalf). You may also give a neighbor or other Association board member your proxy to be hand delivered the morning of the annual meeting.

 

2. A Board of Directors Nomination Form, to be completed and mailed to Jeffrey Charles & Associates by no later than September 18 , 2017, if you wish to nominate yourself or another member of the Association for a Board position. Nominations will also be taken from the floor during the annual meeting.

 

3. There will be three seats available on the Board.  Please consider serving your community!   No prior experience is required.

 

Please send in your proxy form so we can reach quorum and avoid the time and expense of holding additional meetings.  If you have submitted a proxy form and attend the meeting in person, you can revoke the proxy and vote in person.
