School Redistricting News and Issues 6/12/02

I have some not so good news about the redistricting of Schools for our subdivision. I spoke with our School Board Member, Billy Britt today, and he advised us that the Clusters will remain as is until 2007. It seems that the board committed to this because there were so many lawsuits about the rezoning back in 1998. To pacify the masses, they promised that there would not be any new cluster changes until the year 2007 except the new Dacula High School and Duluth High School.

New Elementary School to be built near Nash Chevrolet

Billy did however mention that a new elementary school is slotted to be built in the year 2003/2004 that will be built near Nash Chevrolet. The location is still being negotiated, but it seems pretty solid on that area. It is my understanding that our subdivision would fall into that new Elementary School District.
