Business Development Functions:


1. Provide influence to increase levels of communication between business partners and the local minority business community and to facilitate the development of strategies leading to more financial transactions between the majority and minority business community.

2. Identify and facilitate wealth-creating and economy-stimulating opportunities within the minority business sector.

3. Develop approaches for disseminating wealth-building information to the minority business community.

4. Identify barriers to economic growth and develop strategic solutions for overcoming these barriers, particularly in the area of capital management and market penetration.

5. Serve as community advocates for the full inclusion of minority businesses in the economic life of the community.

6. Serve as mentoring entity for minority businesses.

7. Serve as strategic partner to blend core competencies and leadership capabilities with supporting business partners with complementary strengths and capabilities with minority businesses.


Additional Community Responsibility:

1. Provide timely marketing leads, access to capital, resources, and current business information.

2. Assist business partners seeking to market their product and services within the local community.

3. Facilitate economic parity to bring coordination and synergy to all minority business development efforts taking place within the local geographic area.

4. Develop and set forth recommendations for changing procurement, banking, or other practices, which may impede the growth of minority firms.

5. Sponsor activities designed to cultivate business ownership as a vocation among minority youth.

Our Program:

IBSA offers a wide variety of Business Services to our clients at special reduced rates. We utilize local counselors certified to facilitate micro-enterprise programs such as the Kauffman Foundation First Step FastTrac Program* and individuals that are connected to the business community. Cooperative arrangements allow us to provide services through businesses like Kansas Small Business Promotions.
