Yesterday, I did something incredibly stupid.  I was awakened shortly after 9:00 p.m. by the ringing of my door bell.  A woman apologized for waking me up but my garage door was wide-open and she thought I'd want to know.  For a variety of reasons, I simply forgot to secure my house before going to bed.

I want to take a moment to thank this wonderful lady whose name, unfortunately, I do not know.  As my Irish grannie would say: "God sent you a wee angel."  There are some awesome people living in Towne Lake.

That kind of post is great to see from a wonderful neighborhood like Towne Lake. We need more positive posts like this to show that our community is not all bad, as many of the posts might lead you to believe.

I wonder if there is a way to stick this thread:

I have some pretty great neighbors on either side of me as they have graciously offered to allow me to impose upon them as I recover from surgery. Lord knows I haven't been that great a neighbor, always taking forever to call the landscaper.

Scott, you are right!  One more for the good guys.

Over the summer, my elderly mother was hospitalized several times and my life went a little crazy and my yard got a little neglected for lack of time.  One afternoon I came home from work to find my front yard mowed, edged and trimmed.  I felt so grateful for one less thing on my plate to tackle!  It took me a while but ultimately I found out that Mr. Ernest Charles took it upon himself to tidy my yard.  These random acts of kindness are part of what make our neighborhood so great.
