One of the best kept secrets of IPN seems to be that we have access to the pool at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC).
Many times, when I tell people I swim, I'm asked where. I tell them, and the response I often get is surprise. Of course, there are the other swimmers that are as grateful and happy as I am that after a year of being closed post 9/11, the pool is officially reopened.
We like the fact that it's not crowded, and keep the secret to ourselves. I've decided to share the information, convinced that if more people would swim, the world would be a better place.
