This represented a $25 rebate for each roofing job his company performed in the neighborhood.

He said the courts were playable and in decent shape, but would require resurfacing at some point in the future.

ENTRANCES REPORT: Entrances Chair Betsy Smalldon said it was a good year for the landscaping around the walls. She thanked Sandy Hindall, Carolyn Turner and Emily Bull for their tireless efforts at keeping our walls looking good. Mary Ison was thanked for prompt work on creating the announcement signs. She needs more people on the committee -- has 4 people and 6 walls to maintain.

BLOCKWATCH REPORT: Gini Peloquin reported that there were a few break-ins in February 2003. Gini hopes to get more email addresses form neighbors to quickly inform them of any issues.

OLD BUSINESS SUMMARY:

Tim Murnane distributed a handout, which discussed the possibility of the Association paying to have curb numbers painted throughout the neighborhood. Tim said the idea was suggested at last year?’s annual meeting, the Board had researched it during the current year, the Board was in favor, and the Board now wished to have the proposal discussed and voted upon. Tim said that painted numbers were the best and least expensive option. If approved, the Assoc. would pay a contractor $7.50 per home, versus the standard rate of $10. The work would be done in the spring/summer of 2004. Tim said a form would be sent to each home beforehand. The form would allow a homeowner to ?“opt out?” or not participate in the project. Tim also pointed out that not all members would benefit from the project. Homes on Linworth Rd. have no curbs, and others already have installed ?“permanent?” curb numbers. Discussion ensued. A motion passed to approve the project.

CURB NUMBERS
As noted in the highlights of the Annual Meeting, the IHRA has approved the painting of curb numbers. This will be financed by IHRA funds. This was originally proposed by Brad Mitchell at the 2003 Annual Meeting.
Much discussion took place before the idea passed. The main positive is a more visible way for emergency personnel to find the home. The main negative was that not all homes in the IHRA have curbs. It was agreed that each homeowner needs to opt in or out of the project in writing. Please find the form attached to be returned to Tim Murnane at 919 Stoney Creek Rd. If a homeowner is unable to get the form to Tim, he will stop by.
GOOD JOB INDIAN HILLS
The neighborhood was especially beautiful this holiday season. Many have commented on the variety and number of well decorated homes. The board wishes to congratulate Jerry and Cartha Sexton at 5934 Rocky Rill for an especially nice job on their home.

The way you keep up your home and yard affects the culture and the values of the neighborhood. Thanks to all who make their homes neat and agreeable.
