WE NEED AN ENTRANCES CHAIRPERSON

There is an opening on the Association?’s Executive Board for the appointed position of Entrances Chairperson. Historically, this person has provided oversight and coordination for maintenance of our entrance landscaping, walls and lighting. Also, the Entrances Chairperson will typically arrange for the periodic display of US flags, holiday wreaths, etc. The Entrances Chair has a seat and a vote on the Executive Board, and heads up a committee of resident volunteers who assist with planting, mulching, watering, etc.

Our entrances are a valuable asset to all of us in Indian Hills. They give the critical first impression of our neighborhood. It?’s in everyone?’s best interests that our entrances be maintained and look their best. If you?’re interested in this important function, please contact any Board member.

HOME IMPROVEMENT

Either recently concluded or still ongoing, there seem to be a lot of home improvement projects in our neighborhood. We?’ve noticed a larger-than-average number of them ?– new roofs, paint jobs, siding, windows, doors, driveways, landscaping, decks, patios, room additions, etc. You name it, and we?’ve got it going on. Don?’t know what spurred this mini-boom of renovation, but it?’s always nice to see folks fixing up instead of moving out. Yes, it takes time, effort and money, but it pays off in enhanced property values and it also bodes well for the long-term vitality of Indian Hills.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS

The speed limit in the neighborhood is 25 MPH. Motor vehicles must share our streets with pedestrians, children at play, bicyclists, and dog walkers. Be neighborly and slow down.

Speaking of dogs, please don?’t let dogs run loose and please clean up after your pet.

Per both City Code and Indian Hills Deed Restrictions, you can?’t store/park boats, RV?’s, trailers of any kind on driveways or in the street.

Per both City Code and our deed Restrictions, you can?’t display a sign promoting a home occupation. (Nothing wrong with working at home. You just can?’t stick a sign in your yard advertising the fact.)
