Riverview

First off, I'm sorry I couldn't make the neighborhood meeting about a month or so ago - I really wanted to. I live on Riverview just a few houses after it becomes one-way, so I can attest to seeing numerous close-calls and near-accidents due to people (usually seemingly unknowingly) going the wrong way. Anway, since the arrows have been painted on riverview telling people to turn right onto Broadway, I think their really has been a reduction in the people going the wrong way. Though, more time will tell if that trend holds true. Anyway, I still think those ''do not enter'' signs need to be replaced with more visible ''wrong way'' signs.

For one, ''Do not enter'' does not tell the driver why they shouldn't enter. Granted that should be obvious, but I really don't think it is. Since the signs are not that visible (to me), I really think most people just assumed the road kept on going both ways (before the arrow at least).

Anyway, for all I know all the decisions have been made regarding this already, but I thought I'd share my thoughts anyway. Thanks to everyone who contributed to adding the arrows at that intersection!

Neighborhood Meeting?

Thanks for the update, Garth. Glad to hear that the painted arrows in the streets appear to have helped the situation. Let's hope that the appearance holds true. (Please don't think the credit for getting it done belongs to me based on my comments. The credit should go to other neighbors, and I think Jill is one of them.) Your idea of replacing the ''DO NOT ENTER'' signs with ''WRONG WAY'' signs might indeed help make people more aware of the hazard lying ahead. I also still believe that erecting an ''ALL TRAFFIC MUST TURN RIGHT'' sign on Riverview just before the intersection would help even more.
For what it's worth, I don't think the neighborhood meeting that was supposed to take place after the flurry of e-mails regarding the proposed STOP sign and speed bumps ever actually did. At least, I never heard anything more on it. Does anyone out there know any different? Did I miss the meeting too?

neighborhood meeting?

Dan, I do not believe that the meeting took place. Do we have a Warfleigh Neighborhood Assn President? If so, Who?
