I just wanted to give a heads up to everyone. Yesterday, we had a strange man come up to our house and ask for money. He pulled into our driveway and knocked on our door! When my husband answered the door, the man gave us this story about being from out of town and just got a job here at the ''new'' Meijer down the street. Then he said that he needed a little cash until he got paid b/c he was low on gas. When my husband said we didn't have anything for him to do, he got a little upset and said ''Can I just have like eight or nine dollars for gas?'' Again my husband said no and then the guy got back in his car and left. I watched him leave and he drove a burgundy car similar to a buick century or an older cadillac. I was really uncomfortable about the whole situation and I wanted to let someone know! Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up on this event. Did you notify Pat Wood, our neighborhood Crime Watch Chairperson? She needs to know about these things in order to notify other Crime Watch Captains and to make contact with the Marion County Sheriff's Office....they always want to be notified of suspicious behavior. 911 will connect you if you call there as well but it helps to dial the appropriate number.
