While I'm glad to see this site for the neighborhood association, I'd like to see three things -

A lot more content - meeting notices, agendas, minutes, lists of homes for sale, etc.
Ability to interact - easy to use discussion forum and a neighborhood blog
Easier access to content - We should have the choice for how we access content - via e-mail subscription, RSS feed, or visiting the Web page.

I don't think this site should replace our print newsletter, rather it needs be the place that stores the organization's memory and reflects the neighborhood's vitality.

I'm more than happy to offer my time and expertise to this.

Your help is welcome on working with this Web site. Currently I am the sys admin for this site. A little history with facts:

1.) The site is free and costs the association nothing.

2.) It is limited. I have tried to implement a couple of things but the site did not offer the technologies I was looking for.

3.) It is paid for by the (obvious) advertisements. I have no issue with this but in my mind it is sort of like a free Yahoo e-mail account - very basic - but usable.

4.) The Garfield Park Neighborhood instance was created several years ago and then abandoned as the person maintaining left the community.
