A Little Nostalgia

Posted in: Oakforge Communities-Lakes - Woods
Remember when we were kids and our parents kind of put us in charge of our summers, trusting us with the care of a younger sibling for a few hours each day to save a little money knowing we were responsible enough to stay out of trouble. Remember how they used to say ''No matter what, no other girls or boys in this house while we are gone'', and we used to lie and say ''oh you can trust us, that will never happen'' knowing all too well that the first opportunity we had we were going to have the girls or boys in and our parents would never know any better? Well, some things never change including the term grandparent.

confusion

Does this mean you trusted someone and now you are going to be a grandparent? I am really confused by this nostalgia. Just wanted to be able to share the moment.
Pease don't be confused

Let me explain, Somethings never change, the fact that we or at least I lied to my parents quite often in my younger days is still happening in other families today. When one comes home a little earlier from work than normal and notices the neighbor kids having a slew of boys in their home when you know or at least suspect the parents wouldn't approve, you realize somethings never change. Now rather than being the rat, you might write a little something hoping the parents might chance upon it to realize they might want to keep a little better eye on their children before they unknowingly become grandparents.
