Trash
One way to set us back on the right path is to get those board members who have inoperative vechicles parked in their drive, trash in their yard and bricks and other trash stacked along their house to clean up thier act. I for one am tired of driving down the street and seeing the teenage boys sitting on the power box and throwing trash in the yard. I don't let my kids do things like that and don't appreciate those kids disrespecting the property and covenants of the neighborhood either.

Point Taken
GK, we as a board are in no way exempt from the same covenants that all of us agreed to when we purchased our homes in this development. Perhaps in the past some issues with the board members have been overlooked. This is a whole new ballgame. I have on numerous occasions challenged the board to live up to the expectations of our community and in fact welcomed our HOA reps to cite me if I am in violation. The point being if we can't live by it and exhibit it, how can we inforce it. The issue now at hand is: do we want to be assertive and actually inforce the trends needed to secure our neighborhood and retain our property values, or do we choose to be submissive and let it all slide. Something we as a community need to address. There will be at least two slots vacant on the board of directors this summer, if you or any other home owner wants to become involved I would recommend you contact Cindy @ Affordable and make your name available for nomination to the board. We truley need individuals who care and are willing to do a little to make our community work. If you would like a more specific answer contact me directly at the e-mail address listed above. JBD
