As a newly elected board member to the Southern Springs Board of Directors and the only ''rookie'' on the current board, I wanted to ask all of the homeowners who visit this page to take a minute to answer a question. I would like to know what you consider to be the three most important things to you as a homeowner. I'm asking this question because I want to make sure that the board of directors is focused on your needs as a homeowner and to make sure that we are doing all we can to meet those needs. I would also welcome any compliments or complaints about the current board or management company. Your input is a valuable tool that helps to guide us in our decision making. Thanks for you input. If there is anything that your board of directors can do for you, please don't hesitate to give one of us a call.

Why are the violations of the Covenant rules regarding mailboxes and lamp-posts tolerated? Why have rules if they are not enforced?

Thanks so much for visiting the website and getting involved with the neighborhood. If you happen to see a covenant violation that the management company has perhaps overlooked, please feel free to contact a board member and bring it to our attention. Once a covenant violation is reported, there is a process that is involved with getting the violation corrected. Although this process make take a bit of time (depending on the homeowner) I can assure you that issues like this are tenaciously persued with the utmost amount of tact and acumen. If you have specific concerns about a violation or perceived violation you can feel free to call me at any time to discuss it. If you have a question that I can't answer I will take it to the other members of the board and the management company until I get you the correct answer. My phone number is 889-7466. What's Important

Since I live on one of the ponds, the activities occurring around the ponds concerns me greatly. Not only are children running around too close to the edge, but adults, residents and non-residents of our community, are trespassing on neighbors' lawns and leaving trash (cups, cigarette butts & fishing trash) in our yards.

Can anything be done to enforce the 'NO Trespassing/Fishing etc. signs that were posted around the ponds?
