I'm very pleased that GPNA now has an open forum for communication. I was dissapointed to see only a few discussion threads. I've been here for many years and have attended some of the association monthly meetings. I'd like to attend more often, however, job travel has kept me away. I strongly encourage everyone to address concerns and ideas via thread discussion. I know in our area, we've had many changes, including absentee landlords, speeding, and damage to our vehicles parked in front of our homes. If you're new to the Garfield Park south area this shouldn't discourage you. Our property value is increasing. This is due primarily to the restoration of the sunken gardens (generous grants from Lilly) and existing homes being refurbished and neighbors really giving a darn. It is my hope that I have an opportunity to meet you soon, either walking in the park, at a McAllister event or at a monthly meeting. Independently we can make a difference in our neighborhoods, however, united we can conquer. Thank you for reading my topic and I hope to hear from you very soon.
It's great to finally be on-line
