Update 7/10

I have confirmed that affixing signs to utility poles is not permitted under city code without special licensing. I'm guessing the ''We Buy Homes'' folks have not gotten that special licensing.

I have tried without success to contact a live person at the city to ask how this would be enforced. I will keep trying.

Update 7/11

An action item has been opened with the Mayor's Action Center (327-4622) to remove the signs.

Long story short: the first time I called the MAC they referred me to a zoning office. Several attempts to reach a person there failed, so I called the MAC again and this time they recorded the action item.

Yes, I noticed this morning that they had been taken down! It does look much nicer without all those yellow signs...

Hopefully it will take a while before new signs start popping up again.
