John - I'm hoping this post can be used as reminder to the community that this is an important action item for the board. Since it hit the radar screen a month or so ago with board agreeing to investigate appealing the assessment. This month's board minutes stated that no information is available yet the appeal and it is still an open item. Would you please update the community periodically until this issues is resolved? Thank you.

Update 7/27

The Board agreed to contract the services of a tax professional to pursue an appeal of our property tax assessment. The tax service will only receive payment if they are able to secure a savings. The service will collect one-third of any savings.

Meridian Management did not feel that they had the appropriate expertise to handle the appeal process. The contracted expert is a former Indiana State Tax Commissioner.

In messages from the board, we read; Pool Committee, ARB, etc.; and now, ''the expert''. Why not names? Who are these persons?
