What you see remaining on this forum is constructive information and discussion. I have deleted any and all other posts and will continue to do so for the forseeable future.
I am sickened and disgusted at the levels of negativity and hatred achieved on this forum. I was 100% wrong about the value of permitting anonymous posting, or even unmoderated discussion in general.
This forum is provided as a convenience and a courtesy to our residents. It has such great potential to be a positive, valuable tool.
You chose not to use it that way.
I gave the users of this forum the opportunity to prove that they could carry on mature discussions. I lobbied other Board members to give me a chance to prove that you could handle it.
You failed.
I tried to present rational explanations and discussion. The vast majority did not respond in kind.
I am not volunteering my time for this neighborhood to babysit a bunch of ''adults'' who are behaving like idiots. I have plenty of other positive ideas I would like to do for this neighborhood in my Communications role. I will continue to do those.
To those who bothered to post respectful comments and feedback, thank you. I only wish everyone could have been as considerate.
It bothers me deeply to think that new or propective residents would have seen the garbage posted here. Our neighborhood is so much better than this.
My recommendation to the rest of the Board will be to consider the deactivation of this forum, leaving the remainder of the Country Club Place home page intact.
