Fence Quote # 1 from Mike's Custom Fencing http://www.mikescustomfencing.com/ on 12/11/09:
He said that only every other post was set in concrete. Several that were have broken off in the concrete, so they would need to be totally replaced with new posts and re-set in concrete. Those that weren't set it concrete can be re-used if they are still in good condition.
He estimated replacing/repairing 6 posts at $120/per post. He said once he gets in there, the price could possibly go down based on his findings.
Since this qoute was so long ago, I would need to contact him again to make sure that it was still valid. Originally I told him that we wouldnt' be doing this until early Spring, but now that it is later in the year, his availability/pricing may have changed.
Fence Quote # 2 from Scott Smith: 503-998-5710
This person contacted me to bid after they removed sections on the fence to allow a motorhome to be removed from the neighboring property (fence was damaged by the way (slats were broken and I was told they would be replaced at their cost, but they just tacked them back up in pieces.)
He didn't have a business card, but he seemed knowledgeable I guess. He said that he would be able to do it in a days worth of work, replacing 6 posts and setting in concrete for a flat rate fee of $300 plus material (which at the time he estimated would probably be less than a hundred.
Fence Quote # 3:
Dawn was originally going to provide information on someone she wanted to have bid for the job, but we were never provided with any contact info.
