Annual Installation Banquet

Held March 6 at the Audubon Country Club.

Vice Present Beverly Wheatley openend the proceeding with a prayer.

Past association officer, city official and community activist Fred Banks was honored for countless and unselfish service to the south Louisville community. Mayor Abramson spoke of Fred's service to the city and presented a certificate for his many contributions and service as Director for the former City Department of Neighborhoods.

State Representative Tim Firkins installed the 2008 Officers asking them to proclaim they had "not fought a duel with deadly weapons nor acted as a second". Councilman Dan Johnson presented board members with Metro Council Certificates of Merit.

President Barbara Nichols announced dates for March board of directors and regular meeting.

Stefanie Buzan and Rosemary McCandless announced their publication "A View from the Top" has received the Kentucky History Award - Publication of Local History at at a dinner held earlier in the month at the Thomas D. Clark Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort.

Buzan reminded members of the upcoming neighborhood cleanup scheduled for March 29. We need volunteers!
