There are also a number of dogs that get out and roam the neighborhood. It is especially troublesome when walking the neighborhood and being confronted by a 35 to 50 lb dog, and unaware of its behavior.
It would be nice to know where the dogs ( and cats )belong so that instead of calling the City we could contact the owner. Do the owners of these animals want to be contacted or do they want a trip to the city pound to collect their extended family member? We need some organized community effort to protect these animals when they do break loose but as a mother of small children, I will not tolerate any large dog roaming the streets, and will call the city at first sight! Roaming cats also present a risk of rabies due to the large number of rats in this area.

Thanks for feedback

Nice to know someone is looking at the web page and using it for what it was intended. I will try to get an article in the next newsletter about how we can better protect our kids and pets.
Lost cat

The Smith's reported to me today
that their daughter's BELOVED cat
is missing and they are requesting help in locating it. If any of you see
a ''well mannered'' cat who looks like
it needs to go home, post your response
here and we'll get the word to them.
They live in the vicinity of Flagpole
Hill.
