A Law Enforcement Explorer is a career education program geared towards young men and women who are 14 and have completed the eighth grade or
15 through 20 years old.
Exploring is designed as a career specific opportunity for those individuals interested in the law enforcement field. The Baltimore Police Department has nine Explorer Posts throughout the city within District boundaries. Exploring is open to all residents of the Baltimore metropolitan area. Members must be responsible citizens with a good reputation and maintain good moral character. Explorers must be in good academic standing with an overall passing grade of "C" or better. If you would like to gain practical knowledge of and experience
in a fast paced career, engage in a program of activities centered on career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education and leadership experience. You should consider the chance to learn and grow in a supportive caring and enjoyable environment. Be an Explorer!

What is Get Out The Game?
An innovative "Law Enforcement" program that utilizes plainclothes officers on the street, establishing relationships with the community at large to include ex-offenders and service providers. The hope is to provide needed resources to enable those individuals to turn to a life of peace and lawful employment instead of crime. Geared towards individuals 14 to 24 years old,a 24 hour Hotline dedicated to receive and prioritize calls based on urgency and need. Available resources of housing assistance, job referral, substance abuse treatment and general education diploma assistance.
