Dear Councilwoman Helen Holton,

You represent District 8, which is located in the Irvington Neighborhood.  My father, Pete Peltsemes, always made sure to take care of me and now it’s my time to take care of him and act as his Voice! My father and his entire family emigrated from Greece to Baltimore to the Irvington neighborhood (Southwest Baltimore) over 45 years ago for a better life to a neighborhood and a house that we cannot enter without a police escort. He was murdered. This happened across the street from an elementary school: #073 Sarah M. Roach Elementary, 3434 Old Frederick Rd., Baltimore, MD 21229

It is sickening that my apartment house located @ 3433 Old Frederick Rd., Baltimore, MD 21229,  has been broken into 10 times from July until October 2013 and my father was murdered. What is even worse is that as of today they have not classified it as a homicide but as undetermined and further I’ve been denied a copy of his autopsy report. We have three suspects; two are in custody and one has posted bail. They are all career criminals and are violent repeat offenders. These people are evil.

During this incident, my father was sleeping and was awaken; he was beaten to death and was left to die. He was 76 years old and he was in great physical shape. My mom and I found him face down on his stomach laying in his vomit with his black sweat pants down, his buttocks were exposed. His face was black and blue with his left face and eye swollen shut and he was still breathing but unconscious. He was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. From the CT taken, the neurosurgeon informed us from the massive bleeding, my father was already brain-dead. There was nothing medically possible to save him; therefore, they advised us to say our good-byes. He was kept comfortable, until taken off life support and passed away on 7-16-13. Many things were stolen from home invasion.

No one has been charged with my father’s homicide! I ask you for your help on this matter. The Greek Community will not rest until this is resolved. I lost my father to a violent senseless crime 33 days prior to my wedding. My family has suffered a great tragedy with my father’s murder! Again, I ask for your help in this matter.
