Yep, IWII is still producing theatre in Phoenix. But we've now expanded our horizons and plan on incorporating different forms of art into our productions, whether it is dance, live music, video, or anything else we can think of. Mostly, though, we'll be sticking to straight plays as always.
Not Mr. Danza. Tom Leveen, Lisa Arnseth, Matt Dixon, Mandy Nichols, and Michael Peck are more-or-less the "board of directors," although we've done away with official titles other than those that reflect our respective jobs. Tom takes care of the day-to-day stuff (like updating the websites), and guides the company's choice of material, but everyone has an equal stake in what's going on.
None. When IWII first began, we did not announce shows in advance; we selected a play and then began advertising it, nothing else. It wasn't until about 2001 or 2002 that we began to formerly introduce seasons along with the other companies in town. A few years later, the company realized that, while there are definite advantages to announcing a season, we frequently changed our minds about producing a show (making announcements useless), and decided that we prefered the freedom to produce shows when we wished. There may be a matter of weeks between shows, or a matter of months.
