Please be aware of huge traffic flow because of construction at the four-way stop of Old Peachtree Rd and Old Fountain Rd. I have called the DOT about this issue and we need more calls from the neighborhood. This traffic is dangerous for our children and our neighborhood in many ways. The D O T number is 770 822 7400 (hours 8-5 M-F).

Spoke with Police Major

I spoke with one of the Gwinnett County Majors today and he paid a visit to Ivey Chase this morning. He saw for himself how many cars were entering the neighborhood due to the closing of Old Fountain Road. He is going to have police ride thru more often and they will be checking for speeders and people who run the STOP sign at Bluebell and Dog Rose. So if you are homeowner, BEWARE! He is going to place a call to the DOT and ask if they would post a sign that would say No Thru Traffic due to Detour or something to that effect. He has a couple of other things he may try too.

The project manager for the old fountain project called the major for us. I do not know if you have not noticed but there is a lot more police in the area then there use to be. be sure to stop and thank the officers when you see them in the neighborhood.
