The City of Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department will be aquiring a new park in the Northeast Quadrant of the intersection of Southside Blvd and Touchton Road - Behind Eckards.

What do we want it to be? More ball parks - we have so many already. Something different? Pool? Manned Tennis courts like Boone Park? Hike / exercise trails with stations? Shuffelboard? Covered picknick tables? Fishing pond? Swings & Slides?

We can give input as to what we want it to be. Express yourself! What are your thoughts?

Touchton Park

I think it should be a pool park with a picknic area and kiddie play area for small children. If we can't get the pool then at least get the picknic and play area. Keep it wooded as well with plenty of trees around it for shade and have covered picnic areas with picnic tables and bar-b-Q pits.
