RE: Three Things
1. I agree with the posting of numerous signs out by the street. I am getting sick of seeing it also and I will start doing something about it. See # 3 below.
2. We have been unable to research the cost of speed bumps for the neighborhood as of yet. We need to know the problem areas so we can minimize placing speed bumps where they are not needed. If you see someone speeding down your road, take down a license plate number and call the Police non-emergency number to file a complaint: 630-0500. This will notify JSO of problem speeders within a residential neighborhood and will also get our area recognized for additional needed patrols.
3. Trash on the street: I have been doing clean-up almost every Saturday morning on Ashley Melisse since the HOA adopted that road for Adopt-A-Road nearly 6 months ago. I have two other people from this 672 home community that come out to help me on a consistent basis. When I am able to cut my clean-up short because I have ample help, I go through the neighborhood and look for trash in yards and on the streets. That has happened once. Otherwise, I am on Ashley Melisse for at least 2, sometimes 3 hours every Saturday morning picking up the trash that uncaring people and kids leave behind.
As for these ''For Sale'' signs, I am to the point of frustration that I will start pulling them and tossing them with the other trash. If there is a Yard Sale or Garage Sale sign without a date on the sign, it's gone. The realtors are good about picking up their ''Open House'' signs when it's over, but too many is getting annoying.
I conduct cleanup every Saturday morning usually starting around 8:00 a.m. I work from Kernan toward Girvin. If you would like to help, I have bags, gloves, volunteer vests and grabbers. Feel free to join in. I have the silver F150 truck that you commonly see on the side of the road every Saturday morning.
