C. Open Issues
Treasurer’s report:
AMENDED ITEM FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES:
Correction required on item of light bill of $296.00. It has been paid.
Mark was not in attendance to provide update on balance in account. Hank picked up a few more checks from the PO Box.
New PO Box:
Since changing the PO Box to the United States Postal Service branch, there have not been any reports of problems with sending/receiving mail to the PO Box.
Paid Dues:
Leslie to meet with Mark to discuss the number of active members of the JCCA and to create a comprehensive list for the Board. Hank would also like a distribution list created of all active members for easier global email communications.
Daphne has requested a percentage of households by phases who are active members. Mark and Leslie to work on this item.
D. Old Business
Entrance Sign:
Take the old sign off of the rod iron at entrance.
Everyone agreed on the wording for the new sign at entrance which will read:
“Welcome to Jefferson Cort - A deed restricted neighborhood - Please slow down, children at play” The JCCA website will then be listed at the bottom. On the rear of the sign as leaving the neighborhood, the sign will read: “Thank you for visiting Jefferson Cort - Please come again – Buckle up and drive safe”
The sign will also be a place to advertise upcoming General Meetings.
Hank to get bids from sign companies.

Restrictions:
The restrictions are being typed and condensed. Copies will be made and distributed by phase reps. Paul suggested we hand out restrictions at front entrance and then go door to door for signatures.
Front Entrance:
Beautification day for the front entrance has been selected as Saturday, April 18th starting at 7:30am. Hank has emailed the Pavestone resident who offered to donate some edging but has not received a return call. He will try again this week. Cross ties were suggested as an inexpensive alternative.
The Board agreed to spend $750 on plants and necessities for the front entrance. Hank and Leslie to meet with the owner of Airport Nursery for advice on what to plant and possible discounts for advertisement.
D. New Business
Newsletter:
The newsletter was distributed in this meeting to each phase rep.
The next newsletter needs to remind everyone of Beautification Day and reinforce importance of each resident’s contact information. Also urging people to check the JCCA website in an effort to go paperless in the future.
Newspaper Article:
It was brought to the attention of the Board that JCCA adopted a portion of Adams Road for litter patrol as cited in the Daily Star newspaper article. The Board had no knowledge of this nor did they agree to this prior to the article. Phase 5 alternative rep stated they agreed and asked the Board to vote on an approval at this meeting. Board voted and agreed.
Future events or action must be brought to the Board and voted on before any representation can be made for events or actions.
