  • Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor

Phase 5 had no street lights at all.    It was like driving into a "black hole" at night.

For the residents who may not know,   Entergy will install a light on any existing poll for a monthly fee on your electric bill.   I had one installed for $13 per month......a small price to pay for security and safety.

Just call Entergy Customer Service to set it up:  no installation fees and they will maintain the light for you as long as you choose to pay the monthly fee.

Yes, others who haven't paid a dime benefit from my light.  But no problem for me:  that's what being neighborly is about.   If we each did our part,   this subdivision could be "second to none" and our property values would go up.

A street lighting bill was just past in our last election. If I'm not mistaken, the parish will be installing a street light on every other pole in our district. Our councilman should be able to confirm this. I think it will be great to have more lighting in Jefferson Cort.
