Presidents Note
As 2004 comes to a close, we have much to be thankful for. Our Association is rebuilding, even slow as it may seem.
The Association was able to obtain a grant from the City in the amount of $2,480.00 to repair our fences along the airport right-of-way, which reduced our cost from our treasury tremendously. We are also working with the Airport Authority to clear a six foot area along their side of the fence and to remove damaged or downed trees along with other debris.
A WORD OF WARNING: When hiring contractors, be sure to get a copy of their license and insurance, plus evidence that they have a permit.
You may call 436-5600 to find out if your contractor has a permit to do your repairs and to insure they are licensed.
In order to comply with the lien law, get an affidavit from your contractor stating that all bills for materials and sub-contractors have been paid.
The final date for pick up of yard trash is January 15, 2005. Please make sure we all comply with this and clean up any remaining debris.
I am in process of setting up a web page for our Association. The site is: www.neighborhoodlink.com/pensacola/jphoa
I am still working out the kinks, but soon should have lots of Association and Pensacola links. I will have our Rules and Regulations, as well as our By-laws included.
If you need those documents in the future for selling your home, or just for your own use, they will be available.
As we close out 2004, this is a reminder that our dues are due on January, 2005.
The Board wishes each of you the best during the holiday season and that the New Year brings lots of peace and happiness to all of you.
