Cross Timbers Joins Forces with The Expo
The Expo is going to be "Zone Central" next February. The Procurement Zone, a new addition for 2008, will be comprised of federal, state and local government buyers interested in meeting small businesses that can provide high quality products and services to their organizations through government contracting.
The Procurement Zone is a joint effort with The Expo and the University of Texas at Arlington, Cross Timbers Procurement Center, which provides assistance to businesses in North Texas in selling their goods and services to federal, state and local governments and to their prime contractors.
Construction and Procurement Seminars at The Expo
Government Contracting 101 - Understand the government procurement process, identify contracting opportunities and implement the useful government contracting information.
GSA Federal Supply Schedules - GSA schedules are an excellent source of business to all-size firms.

TCU's Neeley Entrepreneurship Center Participating at The Expo
TCU's esteemed Neeley Entrepreneurship Center once again will join with The Expo to provide a level of unsurpassed educational opportunities to seasoned business owners. TCU will present three sessions that address such important topics as stimulating stalled growth, managing change in the growing venture, and issues unique to family-owned businesses.

Congrats ACORN Grads
The ACORN Project, sponsored in part by State Farm Insurance, Chase and CitiBank, recently celebrated graduation following eight weeks of business training for students who are eager to start their business. ACORN is offered in English, Spanish and Pan-Asian.
The Tenth Rising Star Award was presented at the ACORN graduation to Carrie Holbert of By These Hands Cakes and Catering. The presentation was made by Sherry Green, president of Technology Team, LLC.

Business Awards' deadline is fast approaching
The right business award can provide an organization and its leader with the key they need to get recognized in a crowded marketplace. Two very prestigous awards - The Clear Channel Outdoor Excellence in Business Award and The Star-Telegram Small Business Award - will be presented at The Expo on February 8, 2008.
The deadline for applying for these awards is Friday, December 7, 2007, at 5 p.m.
