Melissa,

I applaud you for your maturity and ability to hold your tonque when uneducated people get on this blog and post such rude and senseless comments.  It's disrespectful people that create all the drama.  Most everyone knows how hard you work to keep us all safe and alert us of crime in our neighborhood.  It's all the lazy one's who sit on their computer and do nothing that have all the tacky comments.  We are all laughing our tails off at the ridiculous comments that are directed at you.

Keep up the good work!!

Where is our FWPD?  They are so busy responding to the useless calls of Tresspassing, speed traps, and kids at the school that they cant watch for anything else.

If people will stop bothering them with USELESS crap they might be able to do a better job. "

I normally would not get involve in this type of exchange; however, your attitude that laws that you do not like or agree with are useless crap that can or should be ignored is really stupid (my opinon). Like it or not tresspassing is a violation of the law, speeding is a violation of the law and disrespect for other peoples property and others right to the quatlity of life they prefer, may not be law but it is only common courtesy.

Stop and think, what are you teaching your honor student.  That laws that you don't agree with should not apply to you.  Did you ever stop to think that if people would stop violating those useless crap laws, people would stop making those calls to the police.

I am willing to bet that if someone were playing loud music that you objected to right outside you back fence loud enough to disturb you inside your house that you would object to it.

The greenbelt behind the houses on Salado use to be just that, a greenbelt. it a had a sprinkler system and was mowed regularly.  the motorcycles and atvs broke the sprinkler heads so many times that it was disconnected.  you have every right to your fun but not at the expense of others, not on the property of others.

If one of those speeders hit you, your family or friend and caused serious damage then would trying to control them be useless crap?

And of course it's only the motorcycles and ATVs that trespass! Are we positive aboutthe accusations of the sprinklers? Must have been those wicked families riding in the swamplands. And by quality of life, would that include the Cyclists who moved to this neighborhood 10+ years ago because they liked the wide open trails that have been used for the past 20 years? No, of course not. They should not expect others to respect anything they may do since they are the minority now.

I personally don't have a total disrespect for the law, nor does my honor student. In fact he speaks of political/social unrest; including the writings of those like Dr. Martin Luther King.

Whenever I criticize the speed traps on Trinity, my point is that we see very few patrols in our community. There isn't much revenue in patrolling a neighborhood making sure the residents are safe. I've seen stop signs blown through many times. I really think there is much more of a likelihood of somebody getting hurt here than by that guy doing 50 down Trinity not near a neighborhood.

Sorry to have perhaps taken this personally. But it's as I have said in the past, if trespassing is trespassing then EVERY person should be treated equally. From the outlaw motorcyclist, to the family fishing, to the kids playing on the swing.
