FORT WORTH POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BEGIN A  CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY:

August 7, 2008 at 6:00 PM
Police Training Center
1000 Calvert Street, Fort Worth

The 36 hour training program consists of classroom and "hands on" instruction to provide the public with a working knowledge of the Fort Worth Police Department.   Participants will meet from 6:00-9:00 PM once a week during the 12 week course. Instruction will be comprehensive, and each week a different area of the police department will be covered.  Each session will be facilitated by the officers and supervisors who work in that particular unit.

For more information, contact Lt. Edney at 817-871-6559 or your Neighborhood Police Officer.

I am very interested in this but may not be able to make it every week due to conflicting work schedule.  Is it mandatory that every session be attended?

You can not miss more than two sessions.

If you do miss more than two, you can attend the next series of classes to make up the ones you missed only.
