HOME OWNERS OF SOUTHMOOR GARDENS NEIGHBORHOOD CONSERVATION GROUP

The 2.1 acres (first two houses on the NE corner of 71st and Metcalf) are being considered for Rezoning on Monday November 14,2005 at l:30p.m. by the Planning Commission at Overland Park City Hall 8500 Santa Fe Drive.

The new owners of the property are requesting a zoning change from R-l zoning which is single family dwelling to RP-3 which is called garden apartments and allows 12 residences per acre. They have submitted a development plan for Katie's Row which consists of 23,3 story town homes on this 2.1 acre site.

You can request a site plan, elevation drawings, and floor plans by going to City Hall Planning Office or calling Leslie Karr. Leslie (913) 895-6190 is a Senior Planner for the City and project manager for this development plan.

As a neighborhood Conservation Group Our goal will be to put an together an opposition plan which will defeat the rezoning request of the current property owner. You and your neighbors are welcome to attend on Tuesday, November 8th at 7pm. The location will be the Queen of the Holy Rosary (enter south door: downstairs.)

The Overland Park Neighborhood Conservation Coordinator, Skip Moon, will be a speaker. Dave Janson, Councilmember - Ward 1 will be hi attendance.
