12th Annual ECOLOGY DAYS WEEKEND
Volunteers will assist the JAYCEES with a variety of horticultural and clean-up activities such as planting flowers and shrubbery, spreading fresh mulch, watering planting beds and sprucing-up the area of the JAYCEE Corridor & Arboretum and the portal entrance to the state Senator Donald Roch RIVERWALK at the Riverpoint COMMUNITY Park,centrally located at the intersection of Providence & Hay Streets, (Rts. 115W/33E in West Warwick)directly across from the former Rhode Island Community Foodbank.
The JAYCEES always are great hosts to all participants, having an afternoon of healthy outdoor action, friendly and fun exchanges and demonstrating our community pride along with protection and preservation of our public lands.
A public remembrance will take place for the Station Fire Victims in offering 100 flowers in plantings that afternoon.
Also, a Military Honor Call will be conducted with area veterans who would like to participate.
A Spiritual Moment will be observed to reflect on the tremendous sacrifice that America enjoys in keeping the peace... worldwide!
Free Roger Williams Park Zoo tickets are available, while supplies lasts!
Volunteers should want to experience the wonderment of Mother Nature through landscape tasks, interacting as a team effort and thoroughly enjoying refreshments, good conversation, hiking along a trail or just pondering the serenity of the beauty of the forest, river and colorful environment.
Court Appointed Volunteers welcome and are expected to be upfront and forthcoming regarding the nature of their violation and all requirements of service.

At The Roger Williams Memorial Park!
Create a Rhode Island Tree Council Forest at the ROGER WILLIAMS Memorial Park with JAYCEES.
Help us find a spot, dig a preparation hole, navigate our TREE, apply some proper planting techniques and water it and watch it really grow ... for all to admire through the years!
No special training or requirements are needed.
Families and groups are welcome, too!

Earth Day Community Celebration
Volunteers will assist the JAYCEES in Kent County, to host, coordinate and implement, the annual EARTH DAY activities under the auspices of Department of Environmental Management and the Rhode Island Earth Day Committee.
The JAYCEES and volunteers will carry out routine landscape chores such as raking and bagging leaves, picking-up scattered debris, shoveling mulch and preparing extensive cultivation beds for Spring plantings.
Volunteers should be prepared to contribute a couple of hours of general landscape-type tasks out in the fresh air, working with a small group of participants in cleaning-up and ensure proper preparation for greening-up the JAYCEE Corridor & Arboretum, which forms the portal entrance to the state Senator Donald E. Roch RIVERWALK and the West Bay/Washington Secondary Bikepath.
