An Apology To Our Neighbors

Posted in: Silver Creek
To the residents of Silver Creek,

We would like to apologize to everyone for the excessive barking of our dog, Stitch, on 10/07/2003.

We unintentionally left him outside in our backyard while we were away from home for the evening. Stitch barks to let us know that he is ready to come back in the house. Apparently this barking went on for several hours. It was an inexcusable mistake to have left him outside while we were gone and we truly regret that we upset our neighbors.

We understand that the police were called on the day Stitch was barking but no report was filed. Officer Ratliff of Metro Animal Services gave us a warning on 10/11/2003. We were truly saddened to find that one or more of our neighbors felt this incident justified the calling of authorities. We feel a complaint to us personally would have been a sufficient reprimand for our failure to control our pet. Be assured that we will do everything possible to avoid a similar event in the future.

Sincerely,

Mark & Linda Carter
