I agree with Rob. Further, I think the council should add back the junk day. Or, at least, query the community about our feelings on the matter.
After reading the July council minutes, perhaps some of the money we're saving from not using city hall - or apparently furnishing it - could be used to pay for said junk day.
I must also add that I was extremely disappointed after reading some of the council member's behavior. I particularly did not like that the mayor got angry, slammed his fist down and when he came back, apologized by saying, ''This woman gets under my skin.''
First, that strikes me as sexist in connotation. What does her sex have to do with his irritation? Nothing - but the statement reveals that he somehow connects the two.
Second, such behavior is simply unacceptable from a community representative.
