To whomever erected the memorials to the trees being butchered for financial and conflict-of-interest purposes -- Thanks! An alternative plan by a respected arborist for saving the healthy trees was rejected out-of-hand, as I expected. It's sickening to watch 40 years of a great and relaxing view of this natural haven for wildlife, as well as the trees themselves, disappear in such a callous and essentially self-centered action. I doubt I'll be alive to enjoy anything similar again. In the meantime, I'll try to appreciate looking at the garbage cans in the backside view of the houses across the street. Such an unnecessary waste, all due to past poor maintenance, and self-serving action by the present administration. Sad.
