I have not heard from the Police Department nor John regarding the property condition at a residence on Carlimar. The house is up for sale and vacant. The yard is in HORRIBLE condition, and mailman told me windows are also open.

Can someone with some authority check this out.

I've reported this home to the police department. I know they have contacted the people responsible for the home. It seems the dispute is about whether or not the ''monkey grass'' and other plantings are ''ornamental'' plantings (not prohibited by ordinance) or are a ''natural landscaping design.'' I don't know the outcome of these discussions, but I will find out and post the findings here when I return to Louisville on October 3.

I will also ask the police to again check on property, especially regarding the open windows ... but, frankly, there's little they can do unless the property actually poses a health or safety hazard to the neighborhood. If you believe there is an immediate danger, please call the Graymoor-Devondale officer on duty at 643-0691.

You might also consider contacting the real estate company to express your concerns.

I STILL have not had a response to this problem. Is anyone listening? I pay taxes and will Talk to Ken Fleming if this matter is not resolved. I would like a solution to this problem. The house is now up for rent.
