Corpus Christi, Texas, May 5, 2009: In times of recession, police forces are often stretched past limits containing the rising rates of crime. Many criminals take advantage of this opportunity and many crimes go unsolved and unpunished. However, there is an easy way to combat a criminal?’s plans.
On May 6, 2009 a group of Kings Point Unit 3 Corpus Christi, Texas residents met with the local Crime Watch Police Department personnel. These Corpus Christi residents will also coordinate and represent the Kings Point Unit 3 Neighborhood Crime Watch program. The Crime Watch group was initiated with the idea of presenting to form a nonpolitical Crime Watch Program.
On May 12, 2009, Coordinators were assigned to each block and designated on the web site to assist in the monitoring process. Support will be demonstrated by all parties wishing to participate in the Crime Watch program and listing was obtained with the Coordinators working to recruit more Coordinators throughout the Kings Point Unit 3 area for the Crime Watch Program.
The Kings Point Unit 3 Crime Watch Group is dedicated to helping law enforcement make Corpus Christi, Texas a safer and more enjoyable place to live. Where once there were scattered Neighborhood Crime Watches of limited activity and participation, there are now coordinated efforts by both the larger and the smaller Crime Watch groups to form a city-wide net that discourages criminals from bringing their activities and crime to Kings Point Unit 3 neighborhood.
The Kings Point Unit 3 Crime Watch group will be working diligently with the Corpus Christi, Texas Police Department to make available materials and resources available to all Neighborhood Crime Watches. All residence of Kings Point Unit 3 are encouraged to utilize the web site and post concerns, intrest and suggestions.
