If your original (installed by builder) shutters are faded and you would like free replacement shutters, just call Mid America at 800-521-7567. You will have to send or email a picture so that they can verify that they are the manufacturer, and fill out a short claim form, but it's easy and worth the slight hassle. You do not have to be the original owner.
Of course, I am assuming that all of the shutters installed by the builder(s) are from Mid America. The builder may have used another source for shutters, too, I don't know for sure.
