Although under the threat of inclement weather to come, the day started out beautifully. Crisp temperatures, slight breeze and a great crew of volunteers! Helping out was Steve, Collin and Courtney Kasch, Walter, Carolyn, Madison and John Casey Murphy, Karl, Julie, Matt and Mitch Holliman, Gene Brown, Guy Decker and several that came and went. The sacks were distributed in fine time... and then the rain came. Most of the homeowners made a valiant attempt at lighting a candle in a floppy, wet sack. So for a short while some of the neighborhood had the effect, but it didn't last long.
