My Dad lives just outside you area of representation on Delaware Ave but I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction.

My Dad's neighbor is out of the country months at a time and the weeds in his front lawn nearly engulf the house, The house in question is located on the N/E corner of 147th and Delaware Ave. Is there any city ordinance that restricts the height of resident foliage?

Hi Henry,

   This is a problem with many homes in Queens. Unfortunately, there is no DOB or City regulation regarding lawn care. This is very sad and would be a good point to bring up to our Council Members for the possible introduction of a new bill.

It might be a good idea to approch your Dad's neighbor and ask him to have a landscapewr care for his lawn during his absence.
