Speakers and Comments:
Tara Goodfellow and Joe Davis of the Art Institute of Charlotte provided us with information on this "new" college in Charlotte. Formerly the American Business and Fashion Institute, the Art Institute has 24 different schools all across the country. It is listed on the NY stock exchange. The Charlotte school has a day and evening school with students from 17 states and 5 countries. The "creative side" is emphasized with curricula such as graphic design, fashion marketing and a future culinary school. Feb. 28th there will be an Artist Reception (the artist is Rod Wimer whose work is on display in gallery area) from 5:30-7:00pm. Everyone is welcome. Address is 2110 Water Ridge Pky.
Visiting Kiwanians/guests: Martina, guest of Etta.
