Looking to buy a home in Kriewald Place, how is the neighborhood? Looks really nice and peaceful, what about the hoa?

Sure. Keep in mind the recent spike in in home and car burglaries, though! The two adjacent  elementary school parking lots are big-time drug deal venues after dark. The County Sheriff is aware of this but it doens't change the fact that there are A LOT of undesirables roaming our neighborhood streets. Add the countless dogs abrking all night long without stopping and there goes  the neighborhood. I wish I had known this when I bought here. I had the same impression: fairly nice and quiet. Sorry to burst your bubble.

This is a fairly quiet neighborhood.  We face the same problems every neighborhood deals with at any given time.

We are still a growing community- including the board.  The builder is still active in the board as it is a community under development.

My recommendation to you, wherever you purchase- make friends with your neighbors so you can discuss barking dogs or whatever other issue may arise.

Don't go by what 1 person says. Of course if someone wants to complain about where they live they should do something about it and stop bickering! I made friends with my neighbors, got to know their barking dog, therefore he listens to me when I tell him to be quiet. I talked to my other neighbors about how I appreciate them keeping their yard looking decent...things like that will motivate a person to keep on, when they are praised for things and not complained to if they do something that we don't like. Keep your yard looking great, it might motivate your neighbors to want to compete with you. EVERY neighborhood has it's faults, some more than others. But, all in all, this is a pretty decent place ot live. YOu'll have neighbors you don't like, but, it shouldn't be a reason to not move somewhere. We built our house, I love our house! I keep my house and yard looking great. Not many people do that in San Antonio cause the weather is always giving us issues. Just gotta find time ot put effort in things so that YOU can enjoy them.
