Hello neighbors.. this is Dan Peaslee, chairman of the safety committee. For some time now we have been receiving complaints about vehicles parked across driveways. We have spoken to several people as time and such allowed and it seems to be of no real interest for them to improve the situation they create. So we members of the HOA have taken it upon ourselves to hand out flyers to those in the neighborhood who are doing this. It is a friendly reminder that it is illegal to park across the sidewalks on length ways upon the sidewalks as some are doing. One the reminder it states on the back the law and also other information about parking on a corner, under a stop sign, near fire hydrants, etc. We want to everyone to realize we knowhow much of a this is a problem for some people who are trying to park more then one vehicle. We just ask that you do the best you can and PLEASE obey the laws because some people are being ticketed for this... yours could be next... its a $150 fine and up. Help us keep our neighborhood safe and park as required. If you have questions about the SAFETY or COP  PROGRAMS  please stop by or give us a wave as we patrol the streets.

Please note notice from the board that Violators will be turned over to the Sheriff office for either towing and/or fines.  The board is no longer just giving the "notice".

Also, please note this is not the COP program decision.  This is the enforcement of County, State and where applicable Federal laws. The board has determined they advise owners of vehicles twice and then turn it over the to the Sheriff for handling.

Yup, current board has taken a firm two warnings, no third, unless legally required, leadership role.

One "friendly reminder" is a courtesy.  The second "friendly reminder" is as a notice but cmon.... we are adults. 3 times is too much.

The problem with parking on the sidewalks, ASIDE from being against the law, is that it forces childrens, handicap and families into the danger of streets instead of allowing them the safety of sidewalks.

Many people have received reminders and corrected the issue, HOWEVER, others have not and continue to ignore the reminders.  Hence the 2 warnings system.

Thank you Dan and Karen for all you do :)
