Community Letter – February, 2009

The HOA held its Annual Meeting on December 3, 2008 with twenty-six (26) homes represented. Business included:

• Election of Jim Mercer and Tom Nicholas to the Board to replace Joe Murphy and Dorothy Cawley whose terms expired December 2008.
• Projected 2009 budget is to be presented to the homeowners in January. This allows Board members to obtain additional information about irrigation maintenance/repair costs.
• Homeowners are invited to attend the January Board meeting for discussion.
• Voted to keep dues at a level that would allow $10,000 to remain in reserve in the HOA bank account.
• Discussed irrigation and landscaping issues. A new Architectural/Landscaping Committee is to be formed for 2009 and will oversee all landscaping issues.

The Board held meetings on January 28 and February 4. Business included:

• Appointment of Christine Moritz to fill the Board vacancy due to the passing of Jim Mercer. Christine is to serve the three-year term.
• Voted to accept the proposed 2009 Budget.
• Discussed communication methods. The Board is to use email for time sensitive issues, letters to insure information is delivered, and the community website for static information.
• Assigned Tom Nicholas as the Board’s liaison to the Architectural/Landscaping Committee. Discussed possible nominees for the committee.

The next Board Meeting is scheduled for 7pm on April 9 at the home of Sean Schreiber (6625 Arbor Grande Way).
