Mrs.Altamese Horatio Reddick
Mrs Altamese Horatio Reddick passed away August 5, 2005. She was a
resident of Washington Park Community more than fort years. Mrs.
Reddick shared her knowledge and her expertise in many ways by
assisting in the growth of her community. She was a very ?“Loyal?”
member of The Lafayette Hart Park Civic Association.
Two of her greatest concerns and wishes were the annexation of
Washington Park Community into The City of Fort Lauderdale, and
Lafayette Hart Park Community Center. Mrs. Reddick?’s concerns also
extended far beyond just the Civic Association. She shared her time , her
expertise, and her love for the community by remembering the sick and
shut-in, sending cards, flowers, and, news paper articles of importance
both to the association and to the residents. She often spoke about the
many accomplishments in the community, and how she enjoyed
attending county and local meeting with her beloved friend Mrs. Irene
Hart.
Mrs. Reddick was a dedicated member of the Lafayette Hart Park Civic
Association. She assisted the (President) Mrs. Sallie Tillman-Watson in
any way that she could,often complimenting Mrs. Tillman-Watson on
how well she got things done for the community.
0n July 25, 2005 at the association meeting, with a smile, Mrs.
Reddick spoke about facing different tasks ahead. She will be
greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three sons
and their wives, a nephew, (whom she considered a son), light
grandchildren; and a host of realatives and friends.
Mrs. Reddick was the former wife of the late Broward County
Circuit Court Hudge T. J. Reddick.
