Homeowners of Lago Vista, I can't stress to each and every one of you the importance of keeping your dogs restrained.  While taking one of my dogs out for a run this evening on my bike, we were ambushed by a white male pitbull (intact).  I am so very thankful for the neighbor that came out to help me get the pitbull off my dog and restrain the dog.  This dog came out of nowhere, and between me trying to lay my bike down, control my dog, and restrain the pitbull - let me tell you, it was horrible and I as well as my dog were terrified.

I am sickened that I had to call 311 on this dog which will result in animal control services being called and the dog will be picked up and most likely be put down.  For the most part, this is reality folks.

We must be responsible pet owners.  This dog had a collar on him but no tags.  I have to admit that my dogs have gottem away from me from time to time but trust me on this, I am out on the hunt until they are back home!

Please everyone, let's make our community safe for walkers, joggers, kids, and pets.

Thanks for listening.

UPDATE!!  Homeowners of Lago Vista - With regard to my post, I spoke with Officer Gonzales this evening regarding this incident and he informed me that if something like this happens, instead of calling 311, call 207-SAPD.  This will get an officer out to the scene, the officer will be able to contact animal control which will expedite the situation hopefully.
