CRIME REPORT; 08-03-10
Good morning!!!! The last twenty four hours have been busy for the Abilene Police Department. Here are a few examples of the calls officers responded to: Officer Montgomery contacted a suspicious subject in the 1000 block of South Clack during a burglary call. During the investigation, the 25 year old white male was found to be carrying an illegal knife. The subject was arrested for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Officer Hartmankok was on routine patrol in the 1800 block of Hohertz. Officer Harmankok saw a 31 year old hispanic male who was known to have a parole violation warrant. The subject was arrested on the warrant. Finally, Officer Thomas responded to a vehicle burglary call in the 2400 block of South Danville. The victim stated an unknown suspect had entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and had taken approximately $700 worth of items, including personal financial documents. Remember, you hold the key in making it harder for someone to target you or your neighborhood for crime. Lock your vehicles, take your keys with you, and secure valuables in the trunk.
