CRIME REPORT; 10-15-2010
Here are a few of examples of calls answered over the last 24 hours.
At about 7:19pm, Officer Plato was dispatched to an address in the 5200 block of Hartford to check on a couple of children who had been left home alone. The officer contacted two boys, ages 10 and 11 who had been left at home alone by their grandmother and according to the children, no one had checked on them for about eight (8) hours. Child Protective Services was contacted and a report was taken for Abandoning a Child.
At about 8:05pm Officer Valentine stopped a car in the 200 block of Grape St. He found that a passenger in the vehicle had numerous traffic warrants, totaling almost $3600. A 42 year old female was arrested on these nine warrants and transported to jail.
Finally, at about 9:10pm last night, Officer Bisbee was dispatched to an assault call in the 700 block of E Hwy 80. There he contacted a 30 year old female who alleged that her boyfriend, a 39 year old male had assaulted her by choking her. The man was arrested for Assault/Family Violence and transported to Taylor County Jail
